Goodbye to autumn

Sadly the beautiful colours of autumn will soon be coming to a close, so we decided to get out and make the most of the gorgeous countryside before the dull days & bare trees of winter set in.

These photographs were taken around one of my favourite places, the Chatsworth estate.
Like most people working in a creative industry & of course like other florists I am influenced by nature & the natural world. Constantly absorbing different colours , textures, materials , it's so easy to be inspired by our gorgeous surrounding, which can then be translated into designs for wedding work, bouquets, sympathy design, anything really! We have a big bag of goodies in our stockroom of collected material, dried bark, nuts, twigs etc that are fabulous items to get creative with back at the shop!
I just love the colours in these images from the weekend..

The nature of Art - Andy Goldsworthy is one of my favourite artists . He works out in the open, using all the kinds of material that we love! Have a look at these...

Some pics of our lovely stand at last weekends wedding fayre at the beautiful Shottle hall.
If you would like to know the varieties of flowers we have used, and if they are available at the time of your wedding, then just drop us a little email
All of the container used are available to hire from us too! xx
(the small print - all of our work featured on our blog & site is for excited brides-to-be for inspiration and guidance, and not for the naughty florist who calls it their own. Big blossom is watching you)
