Country Wedding Flowers - Summer Pastels

These pretty wedding flowers were for our lovely bride Robina who tied the knot at the stunning Repton School Chapel, with the reception held at Repton School .
The brief was a pretty handpicked look in mostly whites and greens , but bringing in a few pretty pastels to soften , creams , a little bit of pale peach with an occasional blue scabiosa for the bridesmaids and centrepieces. Looks summery but still fresh and pretty . Thanks very much to Robina for sending us the lovely images of on the day , congratulations xx

Autumn Flowers

This time of year is so lovely for florists, there are so many interesting textures and materials to work with . Lovely berries, autumn leaves, wheat, autumn fruits in lots of lovely shades that we only associate with the autumn.
I have recently been sent these images by my dear friend Katie from Annabella Whispers Photography. Last autumn Katie asked if i would be able to make her an autumn flower crown for a photoshoot she was working on .  A year later and look how lovely it still is, now all nicely dried out to save forever ..

And here it is in its original form last autumn .....
I think this is a lovely natural headdress for a bride having an autumn wedding .

Thankyou to Annabella Whispers for the images and click here to read Katies Autumn Magic blog post.

Claire & Jonno's Rustic Barn Wedding

Where do i start with this wedding? There are so many words to describe it that it's difficult to know where to begin , beautiful, cool, rustic, bohemian, country, effortless are just to name a few. Definitely one of my all time favourites in our portfolio.
Everything about this wedding i truly love, Claire's informal bouquet, the bohemian hair flowers, the natural buttonholes, the flowergirl's hoop, the church flowers, the moss circle centrepieces, the planted table plan. You get the picture, I really do love it , and I am so pleased that this lovely couple chose me to provide their flowers. I hope i did their ideas justice. I could gush all day ( lets face it, this bride is A stunner ), so instead i'll just let the images do the talking.....
Thankyou to both Claire & Jonno's photographer amazing Laura McCluskey for the official photographs & the very talented Annabella Whispers photography, who accompanied me on the morning of the wedding to capture the pre-wedding flower shots. Please check out both of their websites.

Pink and Red Combo

Firstly,  a huge sorry for the lack of blog posts in the last month ! It has been a very busy few months with weddings, we have quite literally been working day and night to provide our beautiful brides with their dream wedding flowers . However fear not , I have a whole file of beautiful images to share with you over the next few weeks to show you all just what we have been up to.

The first on the list are these lovelies which were for a wedding at Tissington Hall . These luscious colours were to complement a navy colour scheme - I really love brides who do something a little bit different ! The bluey undertones of the pinks and reds really suited a dark rich colour.
This was another long distance bride, I met with the lovely Laura who was based in New York, only once before the wedding , however from the regular email chats, I felt i had a clear idea of the style she was looking for . We used lots of summer seasonal flowers, from garden roses to peonies, to stocks to sweet peas in the bouquets . For centrepieces Laura was keen to have low unstructured centrepieces , but to keep in the context of an historical setting we made them appear more elegant than rustic by using a low footed glass vase. I also wanted to take inspiration from old renaissance paintings, so added a few black grapes in also - can you spot them ?  Hope you like the images, thankyou for reading xx
