Pretty Whites & Greens

I love whites and greens, and the more natural the better in my humble opinion . So I was delighted when Claire , one of our recent brides decided to opt for exactly this look . The brief was very natural, lots of foliage (so many brides shy away from foliage but I'm not sure why, its lovely!) & lots of textures . And to add to this, lots of lovely hair flowers too . To go with the lovely loose bouquets, we made delicate alice bands, pretty flower crowns for the little bridesmaids and also a hair comb . I loved them so much, I even made myself a headband . Hope you like x

A Summer Wedding at Heathy Lea

Last weekend was my first visit to the pretty venue of Heathy Lea on the beautiful Chatsworth Estate .
I instantly loved it & knew straight away that the flowers the bride had chosen were perfect for the setting . Very informal seasonal flowers in 'happy' summer colours . I particularly loved the full flower crowns we made, the bride even requested a different one for the evening reception ( hence the red colourway )
The weather was absolutely perfect, very warm and sunny - definitely a wedding that i came away wishing i was a guest at . Hope you enjoy the pics…

'Wildflower Meadow' Style Wedding Flowers

Rustic 'handpicked' styling is still very popular this year , and this wedding was also all about colour . Our bride asked for lots of colourful seasonal flowers , so we combined peonies, daisies, cornflowers, freesias, marigolds and ammi with lots of light summery foliages . It all suited the setting at Mythe Barn very well , and the weather was just glorious !

Peach Wedding Flowers

Its been a while since our last blog post , this year is really flying by . Since our last blog post in February and a busy valentines day, we then went straight into Mothers Day and then our wedding season began. So before we know it , its May & we have a camera full of images to show you ! ( although if you like our Facebook page you may have seen a few already)

So to kickstart back from our little lull in blogging, i have chosen these lovely peach wedding flowers to show you, which were from a wedding we provided the flowers for a few weeks ago . Peach and coral wedding flowers are a big trend this year , which i have to say i am very pleased about as i really love these colour tones .  We teamed this with very pale pinks and whites to keep the palette soft and used lots of my favourites - David Austin roses, astilbe & stocks . Our lovely bride Mickila sent us the below image of the newlyweds just the following day from the wedding.

Vintage Inspired Wedding - Shottle Hall

David & Jennifer were definitely one of the sweetest couples i have worked with, and i loved providing their wedding flowers held at Shottle Hall . Both were very laid back with choosing their flowers, as long as the colours and overall feel to the wedding was right, they were happy . To compliment the vintage country theme , we chose lots of our summer favourites - scabiosa, lavender, sweet peas , hydrangea, in tones of blues and purples . It all looked so sweet, lovely flowers for a really lovely couple. Congratulations to you both xx Thankyou to Matt Collis Photography for the official images.
