Decayed Vintage - Mauves, Plums, Browns

To say that I love the colour palette of this wedding is an understatement . I really LOVE these colours.
The theme of this wedding, was vintage, in an elegant, aged, decadent , autumnal, victorian way .
Our lovely bride Cheryle nicknamed the theme Decayed Vintage , which i think totally sums up the lovely tones of mauves, browns, plums and the textures used .
For the wedding flowers, we used a mix of roses, hydrangea, viburnum berries, cosmos and sage .
For the Pew ends at Breedon on the Hill church, we added aged looking cream lace , which tied in with the lace on the flower girl trug baskets , and to gain the luxurious decadent feel at the reception venue of Langley Priory , we used lots ( and i mean lots) of mixed containers, varying from bronze coloured to glass, topped off with candelabras, tealights and candlesticks .
If any future bride would like this theme, we will jump at the chance to do it all again -  have i already said how much i loved it ??
Huge thanks to Gemma Bond for the supply of the beautiful vases and containers .

Amnesia Rose Wedding Bouquets

We've recently been sent these lovely images from one of our gorgeous couples Kayleigh & Paul .
The bridesmaids dresses were a lovely unusual copper colour,  which after lots of discussion with our 'bride and groom to be' as to what flower and shade would best complement - we opted for the amnesia rose . A vintage rose with a browny edge to tie in  . Glad to say it all looked lovely, as these beautiful images show . Thankyou for sending them Kayleigh . Photographer Darren Cresswell

Vintage Mauves - Newton House

As its starting to feel a little like summer has finished , its nice for us to use a selection of textured flowers that give that early autumnal feel without the orange shades & berries that we would associate with true autumn . Here we have used wheat , wax flower and astrantia , alongside vintage roses and lavender to represent the seasonal time of year .

Wildflower Style

Not stating the obvious but we love flowers .  Floral trends come and go but we have always stuck to our love of natural cottage garden flowers , and always trying really hard to give you the flowers that are naturally in season at the time that you need them . Why force natures hand ?
As well as lovely feminine soft colours and styling ( which you'll see lots of if you like our Facebook page, twitter and Instagram) , we also love to present our flowers in a very informal and natural way . Obviously for wedding flowers, we are guided by our brides requests, but if you love that wildflower, meadow look then these pictures are for you !  We are now taking bookings for 2016 weddings and if you feel our work fits your own vision then do please contact us soon . Dates are filling up very quickly

Roses - Ockbrook Church and Swancar Farm

This mornings wedding setup was unfortunately quite a wet one - pesky British summertime !
But hopefully the pretty flowers, which were made from predominantly pastel roses will make up for the weather . A few pics from Ockbrook church and the lovely Swancar Farm ….
